HOW THE COMMISSION WORKS
We earn a commission only when a deal closes. Your package sets the base rate. Deal size reduces it further.
Featured and Showcase platform members with no Player Services package default to the 20% base rate on any deal we close.
FAQ
Can my high school player do NIL deals?
In most cases, yes. As of late 2025, approximately 45 states plus Washington D.C. allow some form of high school NIL. The rules are set by individual state athletic associations, not the NCAA. Before signing anything, your player should verify the specific rules with their school's athletic director. Maryland is permitted. Texas public school athletes are not. If you are unsure about your state, reach out and we will point you in the right direction.
Do you need a huge following to land a deal?
No. There is no minimum follower count. Brands working with junior tennis players are looking for authenticity, engagement, and audience fit — not raw numbers. A player with 800 engaged followers who posts consistently about training and competing is more valuable to the right brand than someone with 15,000 followers posting generic content. Your story and your presence matter more than your follower count.
How does Showcase get paid?
We earn a commission only when a deal closes. Zero upfront, every time. The commission rate is determined by which Player Services package your player has invested in — the more you build with us, the lower our cut when deals close. If no deal closes, we earn nothing. Our incentives are fully aligned with yours from the first conversation.
What kinds of deals are actually realistic for junior tennis players?
The most accessible entry points are gear and equipment partnerships where a racquet, string, or footwear brand provides product in exchange for tagged social content. Supplement and nutrition brands are also very active at this level. Local and regional businesses looking to support rising players are another realistic avenue. Small deals build a case study and case studies open bigger doors.
Does doing an NIL deal affect my college eligibility?
At the high school level, as long as you follow your state's rules, NIL deals do not affect college eligibility. For college players, any third-party NIL deal valued at $600 or more must be reported through NIL Go within five business days of signing. Missing that window can result in immediate ineligibility. We walk every player through this process before anything is signed.
What does Showcase actually do on a deal?
We identify brands that match your profile, make the introduction, help structure the agreement, and manage the commission when it closes. You do not negotiate alone, you do not guess at rates, and you do not chase. We handle the business side so you can stay focused on the game. Nothing moves forward without your explicit sign-off.
Can college players work with Showcase on NIL?
Yes. College NIL operates under a completely different and more formal system than high school. The House v. NCAA settlement means D1 schools can now directly pay athletes up to $20.5 million per school per year — but third-party brand deals are still fully permitted and operate separately from that institutional compensation.
What if a deal falls through or a brand backs out?
We do not guarantee deal outcomes. What we guarantee is that we pursue the right fits for your player's profile and only move forward when both sides are genuinely interested. If a conversation does not close, there is no cost to the player. We keep the pipeline moving.
