Backhand down the line
I’m Back
Edoardo Patelli doesn’t measure himself against anyone else. “I don’t compare myself to others. I just try to be better and always think positive, both on and off the court.”
In March 2026, he won the Southern Open, a prize money event at JTCC in Jacksonville.
He plays the same way he thinks: forward. An aggressive baseliner, he dictates with his forehand, speeds the ball up off the backhand, and comes in to finish at the net when the opening shows up. The shot he trusts most is the backhand down the line, and the pro he’d want in his box is Rafael Nadal.
From Milan, he trains with MXP Tennis and at JTCC Bolles in Jacksonville, working with coaches Alberto De Meo and Claudio Pistolesi. He’s Class of 2027 and open to D1, D2 and D3 programs. Off the court, it’s studying, time with friends, and stringing rackets.
